Well, well, well - where have the past 18 days gone??!!?? I cannot believe that it's already August 8th!
Last many of you knew, we were planning on Baby Girl to arrive on July 21, 2010 via c-section at approximately 10am. This was going to be the plan as it had been a concern of the dr's throughout my pregnancy of my having a narrow pelvis. As the due date drew closer and Baby Girl never dropped, I was therefore having no signs or symptoms of labor, so they felt it best to schedule a c-section. We finally had ourselves convinced that was the route to take.... until my water broke at 11pm on July 20th!!!! Needless to say we were in quite a state of shock as we were not prepared for this to happen. After a call to the clinic and talking to the on-call dr, we headed to the hospital. The dr explained to us that we could definitely try to have the baby naturally if things were progressing when we got to the hospital, or we would have a c-section done around 2-3am. When we got to the hospital I was at a 3 and things appeared to be going as any normal delivery would. So... J and I decided that maybe it was meant to be.
Well.... to make a long story short - I was at a 9 at 11am and things were going along very well. But, after 11am nothing seemed to be happening. Baby girl wasn't going anywhere, my cervix wasn't thinning and the petossin couldn't have made my contractions any more off the charts than they already were. So, at 2:30pm the call was made to get Baby Girl out of me via c-section. Needless to say, it was a very emotional moment for myself as I felt absolutely defeated, but it was what needed to be done for the sake of myself and baby girl.
We were rushed away to have Baby Girl be delivered via c-section!! And....
Hayden Kylee Bailey arrived into this world on Wednesday, July 21st 2010 at 3:14pm!!!!
She weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long with a head of beautiful dark hair :) (just what mommy ordered ;)
We are absolutely blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl -- and so, our title changes -- we have gone from A+J+Baby Girl to A+J+H .... and we absolutely love it!!!
(ps: part of my delay for this post is that I desperately want to add photos -- of course, our memory card is jammed in the computer so, I promise photos and many of them will be added soon!)
Love from ''the Bloggin Baileys",
A+J+H ;)
